Personal CAD & 3D Printing Projects
A collection of 3D printing projects I've made to create practical parts for everyday use.
Project Overview
Personal 3D printing projects demonstrating practical CAD design and additive manufacturing solutions for everyday problems...and other fun gimmicks.
Featured Builds
AirTag Keychain Cover
A custom-designed keychain cover for Apple AirTag that combines functionality with personal style. This project showcases practical CAD design and 3D printing to create a protective and aesthetically pleasing case for the AirTag.
Materials
PLA
- Designed in CAD using Apple's accessory guidelines, integrating keychain attachment with precise specifications
- Ensured easy battery access while maintaining secure fit around the AirTag
- 3D printed and tested v1 prototype, identifying that the fit was too tight for easy insertion
- Refined tolerance and offset parameters to achieve optimal balance between secure retention and effortless insertion in final v2 design

Tie Rack Holder
A compact holder designed to securely store and organize ties, optimized for 3D printing.
Materials
PLA
- Uses a split-clamp design that wraps around the closet rack bar
- Tightening the buckle clamps squeezes the split-clamp, creating a strong friction lock on the rack
- Clamp geometry is sized to prevent rotation/sliding while keeping installation tool-free
- Keeps ties aligned and separated so they don’t bunch up or fall off

Spool Holder
A spool holder that can be used to hold hook-up wire spools convieniently
Materials
PETG
Filament Spool Rack
A wall-mounted rack designed to organize and store multiple filament spools, keeping them dust-free and easily accessible for 3D printing.
Materials
PLA
Unifi Dream Router Mount
A mount for the Unifi Dream Router 7 designed to sit neatly on top of one of my electrical boxes.
Materials
PLA
Baymax Medication Holder
A fun medication holder shaped in the shape of Baymax from Big Hero 6.
Materials
PLA
Remote Potato (Spud) Launcher
A remote controlled potato launcher that can be used to (thus safety) launch potatoes up to 10 feet away.
Materials
ABS
- (Top) A holder to mount the barbecue igniter to the PVC potato launcher
- (Bottom) The potato launcher with the igniter mounted to the top. The black box conatins an Arduino with a IR receiver to trigger a relay to spark the igniter.
